Easy Tunisian Vest

Here is my finished vest. It is an XL/Au18 in size you can adjust the size with the number of starting chain. You will need to know basic stitches and basic terms to use this pattern in both Tunisian Crochet and regular Crochet.

To get the right size for you, chain a length that goes across from your shoulder to shoulder. (Add an extra chain if your number is uneven). This is the base chain for the back. To get the right number of chains for the front panels divide the back panels number of chains in half.
That said, here is my basic pattern:

  • TSS 2 rows
  • SS Cast off
ASSEMBLY

  • With right sides facing, sew shoulders to back panel first with darning needle
  • Start from the bottoms of sides, sew sides to the back panel up 26 stitches with darning needle
  • Using 5mm hook, SC 3 rows on the bottom. You could do the entire vest edging this way, I just did the bottom.
NOTE - The back neck is wider than "normal" and since I didn't do an edging on that part of my vest, it "curled" down for a nice looking neck line. I was thinking of continuing with adding a hoodie, but I will do that with another version of this.

Have fun with your version :)
